Sweet potato puree ( 5 months onwards)

We can make certain adjustments to this baby food recipe by adding or decreasing the liquid depending on what our baby likes. (Please note that if you are exclusively breastfeeding and haven't tried feeding your baby formula milk yet, please do so before adding it to baby food. In my experience, my 2nd baby was not allergic to formula milk so I used formula milk instead of water in her baby food. With my third baby, she's having some rashes whenever I give her baby food. I found out that it's because of the formula milk and not any of the vegetables in her food. At 1 year of age, her allergy to formula milk is gone.)

Ingredients:
1 cup diced sweet potatoes (about 1 cm per side)
1 cup water or formula milk
extra water, breastmilk, or formula milk as needed

Boil the water then add the diced sweet potatoes. Simmer for 15 minutes. Puree in a blender or a food processor. You can puree manually using a potato masher or a sieve/strainer. Add previously boiled or purified water as needed to make the puree smoother when you're going to feed it already.
*Please take note that instead of water, you can add expressed breastmilk or formula milk just before serving so that the taste will be more familiar to your baby.
Always test baby food's temperature before giving them. Drop some baby food at the back of your hand. The food's temperature right at that moment should be just like our normal body temperature.
