potato puree (5 months onwards)

Potato Puree - this baby food should definitely be one of your baby's first food.

Ingredients:
1 cup diced potatoes (about 1 cm per side)
1 cup water or formula milk
extra water, breastmilk, or formula milk as needed

Boil the water then add the diced potatoes. Simmer for 15 minutes. Puree in a blender or a food processor. You can puree manually using a potato masher or a sieve/strainer. Add previously boiled or purified water as needed to make the puree smoother when you're going to feed it already.
Please note that instead of water, you can add expressed breastmilk or formula milk (if your baby is already drinking formula milk) just before serving so that the taste will be more familiar to your baby.
Always test baby food's temperature before giving them. To test temp, drop some baby food at the back of your hand. The food's temp right at that moment should be just like our normal body temperature.
